Sealy Engineering was started in 1998 to provide valve diagnostics support during refueling outages at the Oconee Nuclear Station. Initially, the support was limited to motor operated valves but, over the years, the support opportunities have expanded to include air operated valves and modification engineering. In 2002, Sealy Engineering was organized as a Limited Liability Company (LLC) in South Carolina.
Some corporate milestones include:
1998 - The company began providing Motor Operated Valve (MOV) diagnostics and technical support during refueling outages at the Oconee Nuclear Station.
2000 - MOV support expanded to year round and started to include on-line testing and outage preparation activities.
2001 - Refurbishment (Modification) Engineering support was added. The initial support was primarily MOV related.
2002 - Sealy Engineering was organized as a LLC. MOV support expanded to include MOV Engineering support. Refurbishment activities expanded to include Civil Engineering (trench modifications) and additional Mechanical Engineering (piping and mechanical valves) activities.
2003 - added support for VIPER diagnostics and began supporting AOV diagnostics.
2004 - began diagnostics support for the McGuire and Catawba Nuclear Stations.
